Kim by education is a Civil Engineer with an MBA. Most of his career was spent with DuPont doing everything from sales to finance to marketing. He finished his career managing a business unit at DuPont then went on to manage a business within Kulicke & Soffa Industries. More importantly, by instinct and heart, Kim has loved dogs since he was able to walk and talk. He grew up with a Shelty and now has his second Border Collie rescue. Since retiring to the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, Kim has invested a significant part of his time as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Choptank where he works on a building crew, served on the Board for 6 years during which he was Treasurer, and is currently Chair of the Finance Committee and serves on the Faith Relations Committee. When not working with Habitat, Kim volunteers as a maintenance technician at a pre-school education center. Kim also serves on the Board and leads a Bible study at his local church. Kim and his wife Linda first visited Nantucket in 1969 to celebrate her parents’ 25th wedding anniversary. They returned for Christmas in 1971. In 1979, her parents bought a house on the Island which Kim and Linda now own. Over the past 35 years, they have gained a real love for Nantucket including taking classes at NHA;s 1800 House. Combining their love for animals with Nantucket makes for a good life.
